Whatcom County Planning and PW Engineering Development will be transitioning from their current land use and permitting software to Tyler EnerGov between December 1st and December 17th. The new software system is a huge advance in technology for the departments and once fully implemented will provide greater access and transparency to the public. This is the first phase of a three phase process with PDS and PWD implementing the new software in the back office; phase 2 will be a Customer Self Service Portal (CSS) and the 3rd phase will be integration with the Whatcom County Health Department’s Environmental Health Division.
There will be a few days at the beginning of the process starting Wednesday, December 1st when the departments will not be able to fully process incoming applications and their associated payments. The applications will be processed in the order received as soon as the new system is ready for input. We appreciate your patience as we transition to the new software system.
