[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County Opens Call Center for Flood Response

Whatcom County has established a Call Center for those impacted by recent flooding who might not have internet access. The Call Center, open now, is intended to respond to callers between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. After hours and depending on call volume, callers may leave messages.

The Call Center's phone number is (360) 788-5303. Staff are prepared to respond to calls regarding:

  • How to get help (food, shelter, sandbagging, cleanup)
  • Current road conditions, shelter status
  • Reports on conditions from around the county (loose cattle, debris, infrastructure)
  • Resources available
  • Where to report damage*

Callers will be asked to provide their name and contact information, including their address. Spanish translation is available Monday-Friday, and callers may leave messages in Spanish at any time.

For those calling to report flood damage, as part of the process to document damage countywide to qualify for state and federal assistance, the direct number is (360) 788-5311. To access the damage report form online, visit whatcomcounty.us/damageform

Callers with life-threatening or immediate emergency needs should phone 911.
