[ARCHIVED] Special Meeting Notice: Council may attend Flood Prevention Roundtable webinar

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Whatcom County Council may attend and participate:

 

Flood Prevention Roundtable

 

Description: 

Rep. Shewmake and Rep. Rule are hosting a webinar about priorities and opportunities for flood preventing. The meeting will be held on January 17, from 3:30-6:00 pm on Zoom. We will start with a presentation from geomorphologist Karin Boyd (owner of Applied Geomorphology), then hear from elected officials, Tribal Representatives and representatives from agriculture on what their goals  and concerns are in preventing long-term flooding.
