[ARCHIVED] Macaulay Creek Flood Control District Election

Notice of February 8, 2022 Special District Election

 

Receiving Your Ballot:  Ballots for the special district election will be mailed to registered voters who own property in the district on January 19.  Voters should receive a ballot by January 26.  Contact the Auditor’s office for a replacement if yours is lost or damaged.

 

Participating Jurisdictions:  1.) Macaulay Creek: Director Position 1.  For additional information on this election, visit the Whatcom County Auditor’s Current Election website at https://www.whatcomcounty.us/3866/Macaulay-Creek-Election.  

 

Returning Your Ballot:  You may vote and return your ballot as soon as you receive it in the mail.  Return your ballot in an official ballot drop box by 8:00 pm on February 8 OR the mail with a postmark by February 8.   We do not recommend mailing your ballot after February 1.

 

Special Election Registration Deadlines:  1) Monday, January 31 is the deadline for online registration

and address updates.  If mailing a registration form, it must be received at the Auditor’s Office by January 31.   2)  Starting Tuesday, February 1 citizens needing to register or update their address in time for the special election must appear in person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office.   3)  The deadline for in person registrations and updates is 8:00 pm on February 8.

 

How to Register or Update Your Address:  Go online at www.VoteWA.gov if you have a current Washington State driver license or ID card.   Or complete a Washington State Voter Registration form and return in the mail.  Registration forms are available on our website, or contact us to have a form mailed to you, if time allows. Or visit us In-Person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, Election Division: 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 103.

Meeting Dates & Times:  Open public meetings will be held in the Election Center, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite B03, Bellingham.  Meeting dates, times, and/or locations are subject to change. 

 

February 9 – February 17                 8:00 am - 4:30 pm            Processing of Ballots

February 17                                         2:45 pm                                Canvassing Board to Review Challenged Ballots

February 18                                         10:15 am                               Canvassing Board Certification of Election
