Public Works - Lummi Island Ferry and Roadways

Posted on: January 19, 2022

[ARCHIVED] Modified Ferry Traffic Configuration Starts Friday, 1/21, During Dock Repairs

Starting on Friday, Jan. 21, crews will begin repairs to the Gooseberry Point dock that will cause some changes to how vehicles and pedestrians line up for the ferry. These repairs should not affect the ferry’s service schedule.

During this work, cars will not be able to wait on the Gooseberry Point dock for the next ferry, and pedestrians will be directed to a new, temporary covered area off the dock to wait for the boat. Traffic control monitors will help direct travelers to the appropriate area.

Expect these traffic modifications on Friday, Jan. 21, and Monday through Thursday, Jan. 24-27. This important work will replace boards that are in poor condition or that are broken. Please remember to follow all directions given by traffic monitors. Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.
