[ARCHIVED] Registration is now open for the Whatcom Marine Research Symposium

Marine Research Symposium 2022

The Whatcom Watersheds Information Network (WWIN) will host a virtual Whatcom Marine Research Symposium on Wednesday, February 23. This free event will feature presentations on current marine research and recovery projects to promote better understanding of current conditions, inform future research, and support resource management of Whatcom County marine waters and shorelines.

The symposium will feature two keynote speakers—Nooksack Elder and Tribal Storyteller Tammy Cooper-Woodrich and Washington State Poet Laureate and Lummi Tribal member Rena Priest. It will also include eight presentations on new research covering a wide range of topics relevant to Whatcom County area marine waters and nearshore ecosystems. The symposium is free and will be delivered online as a Zoom Conference.

For event details, program, and registration, visit https://www.whatcomwin.org. A recording will be available on the WWIN website after the event.
