[ARCHIVED] Notice of August 2, 2022 – Primary Election

Notice of August 2, 2022 – Primary Election

Ballots for the August 2 Primary Election will be mailed to all registered voters on July 13. Voters who have not received a ballot by July 20 should contact the Auditor’s Office to get a replacement.

Registration Deadlines: To be eligible to vote in the August 2 Primary Election, the Auditor’s Office needs voter registration requests or address changes in the office by July 25. These tasks can be completed online at VoteWA.gov or by mail. Citizens that miss the July 25 deadline can still register to vote or change their address but will need to appear in person at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 103, Bellingham, by 8:00 pm on August 2.

Whatcom County residents are encouraged to complete registrations and address updates early and online at VoteWA.gov or by mail before July 25 to avoid a trip to the office. Anyone completing or updating their registration in person can expect long lines election week. While in the Courthouse, masks are optional for all individuals.

Voters Requiring Assistance & Other Information:  An accessible voting unit (AVU) is equipped with visual and audio technology. Voters requiring reasonable accommodation or assistance may vote on the AVU in the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office starting July 13. For more information, contact the Election Division at (360) 778-5102 or [email protected].
