[ARCHIVED] Fire Marshal Burn Ban Reminder

Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office is reminding everyone that a Burn Ban is still in effect.

Northwest Clean Air Agency has issued a Stage 2 Burn Ban for Whatcom County due to wildfire smoke impacting local air quality. Please see the Northwest Clean Air Agency Release

Thank you for doing your part to prevent outdoor fires and wildfire. Check with State parks, National Forest Service, WC Fire districts, and private camping clubs for their rules prior to starting any recreational fire.

 If you have any questions on open burning in unincorporated Whatcom County, please contact the Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office at 360-778-5900 or visit our website at:  http://www.whatcomcounty.us/381/Fire-Marshal.  You must phone the Outdoor Burning Information Line every time you burn in Whatcom County:  360-778-5903.
