County Auditor Debbie Adelstein announced that ballots are being mailed today. Any registered voter that doesn’t receive their ballot by Friday, July 22, should contact the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office at (360) 778-5102 as soon as possible.
Auditor Adelstein reminds voters if they mail their ballot, one $.47 stamp is required and the ballot must be postmarked by Election Day. Alternatively, ballots may be deposited postage-free in an official ballot drop box. Drop boxes are open 24-hours a day but are closed at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
A new drop box has been added at the Lummi Nation Administration Building at 2665 Kwina Rd. This new box makes the 15th drop box location available to voters throughout the county, Auditor Adelstein said. A complete list of locations is available on the Auditor’s website at www.whatcomcounty.us/auditor, in the Local Voters’ Pamphlet, or on the insert enclosed with your ballot.
