Construction work on the Lummi Island Breakwater and Dolphin Repair Project will affect ferry service over two weeks in late October and early November. Our contractor will be working in the late evening and overnight, requiring the last ferry runs to finish earlier than scheduled. Please plan ahead for the following service disruptions:
- October 24th – October 27th: The last run will be 8:10 pm from Gooseberry Point
- October 31st – November 4th: The last run will be 11:10 pm from Gooseberry Point
**The ferry will resume regular service each morning following the evening/overnight closure.
This repair work must coincide with low tides, which occur in the evening and overnight during these weeks. This timing also allows for the fewest travel disruptions. The Whatcom Chief can make emergency runs during the outage, if necessary.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during construction. For more information, contact the Ferry Department at [email protected] or 360-778-6200.
