Protect Yourself From Smokey Air - Stay Indoors or Use a High-Quality Mask

The air quality alert for smoke in Whatcom County remains in effect until 5 pm tomorrow.

Poor air quality due to wildfire smoke can affect everyone. Smoke impacts the lungs, and it can increase risk of conditions like heart disease and stroke. If you must be outside during poor air quality days please wear a high-quality mask, like an N95, to protect your health. Cloth masks and surgical masks will not filter out the harmful particles in wildfire smoke.
