Contractor crews have been working on the Nulle Road Bridge #106, installing Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strips on the existing girders. This work requires a one-lane traffic configuration controlled by temporary traffic lights. These lane closures are in place to accommodate the required CFRP cure time.
What to expect moving forward:
- The eastbound lane has been closed for work on the downstream half of the bridge.
- Starting Monday, July 24, the contractor will open the eastbound lane and close the westbound lane to begin work on the other half of the bridge.
- We anticipate completing this project in the first half of August.
This vital work will extend the service life of the bridge and allow weight restrictions to be removed for all legal loads. An additional project on the bridge deck and approaches will occur over a few days later in August or September and will require one-lane flagged traffic.
Thank you to the surrounding neighbors and the traveling public for your patience during this project.
