With the current forecast of rain today (Monday July 24th) and possibly into tomorrow, Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office (WCFMO) is reminding everyone that a Burn Ban will remain in effect. The amount of predicted rain fall will not lessen the fire danger to the region. In order for the burn ban to be lifted, the region will need several days, if not weeks, of rain and cooler temperatures. We normally do not get the required rain fall until the end of September or early October.
