The National Weather Service has extended the active heat advisory. The heat advisory will remain in effect through 11 PM this evening (8/16). Hot conditions with temperatures of 80 to 90 degrees are expected. Heat will increase the risk of heat-related illnesses for those who are sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling or adequate hydration.
It's important to stay cool and hydrated during hot weather! You can visit a cooling center or splash park to cool off. See our list of Whatcom County locations below for a spot near you.
