Preparing for the Adjudication Event on September 13, 2023

Join Aspect Consulting, Associated Earth Sciences, and RH2 Engineering, with guest appearance by the Department of Ecology, to learn how to prepare for the upcoming WRIA 1 Nooksack Watershed adjudication. This event will take place on September 13th, 4:30-6:30 at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center, 2007 Cherry St, Ferndale. The presentation will provide attendees with an overview of water right basics, a checklist of documents and evidence that can be gathered to better document your water rights and water use, and will identify potential complications that can be addressed even before the adjudication is filed. After the presentation is complete, presenters will be available to answer any questions that you might have. Whether you plan to do all the work yourself, or seek the assistance of a consultant or attorney, the information presented will be helpful. Help us plan accordingly by registering for this event at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdcJxeEk6lu4zLAJN6opXV8C1jojCrTh1X9quHYozhEN8vOew/viewform.

The WRIA 1 adjudication will involve holders of surface and groundwater rights, including permit-exempt well users, such as those that have wells for their home use.
