The Whatcom County Public Works Department will close Lake Whatcom Boulevard south of Lake Louise Road from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, through 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, to replace an existing culvert that is failing and causing severe erosion of the road shoulder. This closure will be in effect 24 hours each day for the duration of the project. 

• The closure applies to all traffic, including emergency vehicles and school buses. 
• Plan ahead to use alternate routes during the closure.
• This culvert replacement project is weather-dependent; closure dates and times are subject to change.
