Today is the last dry day for a while. A series of storms are forecasted to hit Western Washington bringing severe high winds and heavy rains and flooding conditions. The winds and rain are due to hit Thursday into Friday with a stronger front coming in Saturday, the remnant of Typhoon Songda currently off Japan. This has the potential, based on incredible storm strength, to be a significant windstorm. Very heavy rain and coastal storm surge flooding and beach erosion are also forecast. Residents are advised to prepare for possible power outages. As always, conditions may change rapidly.
