With only one week until Election Day, County Auditor Debbie Adelstein announced the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office will be open from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th. This will give registered voters the opportunity to come in to get a ballot if they never received one, a replacement ballot if they lost or damaged theirs, or to pick up a local voters’ pamphlet.
Auditor Adelstein reminds voters that Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. Voters are encouraged to deposit their ballot postage-free in one of the 15 official ballot drop boxes located throughout the county. Drop boxes are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week until 8:00 pm on Election Day. Box locations are listed on the insert enclosed with your ballot, in the Local Voters’ Pamphlet, or on the Auditor’s website.
Point Roberts will have a ballot drop box available on Election Day only at the Community Center. Voters can deposit their ballot from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm at the Center.
If you return your ballot by mail, the ballot requires $.68 postage due to the size and weight of this year’s ballot. Be sure to check the last pick-up time posted on the mailbox before putting your ballot in the mailbox, Auditor Adelstein said. Ballots must have a postmark no later than November 8 to be counted.
If you haven’t received your ballot, contact the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office immediately at (360) 778-5102. Relay calls are gladly accepted.
