[ARCHIVED] Notice of February 13, 2018 Special Election

Registration Deadlines: Monday, January 15, is the deadline for mail-in registrations or address changes to be eligible to vote in the February 13, 2018 Special Election.  January 15 also is the deadline for online registrations or address changes at www.myvote.wa.gov.  

After January 15, voters not currently registered in Washington State can register in person until 4:30 p.m., Monday, February 5, at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham.    

The election will be conducted entirely by mail and ballots will be mailed to registered voters living within the boundaries of Bellingham School District and Mount Baker School District at their mailing address on record.

The February 13, 2018 ballot will include:

Bellingham School District 501
Proposition 2018-1
General Obligation Bonds - $155,000,000

Mount Baker School District 507
Proposition 2018-2
Facilities and Technology Levy

Voters Requiring Assistance & Other Information:  Voting assistance for elderly or disabled individuals is available at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office or by calling (360) 778-5102.  Relay calls are accepted. Election and voter registration information, registration forms, and election ballots are also available at the Auditor’s Office.  

Voters’ Pamphlet: The Special Election Voters’ Pamphlet will be enclosed with the ballot or it may be viewed online at www.whatcomcounty.us/auditor . Copies of the pamphlet will also be available at the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office.

Meeting Dates & Times:  Open public meetings for the February 13 Special Election will be held on the dates and times listed below at the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Bellingham.  Meeting dates, times, and/or locations are subject to change; please see our website at www.whatcomcounty.us/auditor or call (360) 778-5102 for updated information.  Relay calls are accepted.

1/24 - 2/22/18         8:30 am – 4:30 pm    Processing of Ballots
