[ARCHIVED] Notice of April 24 Special Election

Registration Deadlines: Monday, March 26, is the deadline for mail-in registrations or address changes to be eligible to vote in the April 24, 2018 Special Election.  March 26 also is the deadline for online registrations or address changes at  

After March 26, voters not currently registered in Washington State can register in person until 4:30 p.m., Monday, April 16, at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office, Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Suite 103, Bellingham.    

The election will be conducted entirely by mail and ballots will be mailed to registered voters living within the boundaries of Blaine School District at their mailing address on record.

The April 24, 2018 ballot will include:

Blaine School District 503
Proposition 2018-3
Technology and Capital Projects Levy

Voters Requiring Assistance & Other Information:  Voting assistance for elderly or disabled individuals is available at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office or by calling (360) 778-5102.  Relay calls are accepted. Election and voter registration information, registration forms, and election ballots are also available at the Auditor’s Office.  

Voters’ Pamphlet:  The Special Election Voters’ Pamphlet will be enclosed with the ballot or it may be viewed online at . Copies of the pamphlet will also be available at the Election Division of the Auditor’s Office.

Meeting Dates & Times:  Open public meetings for the April 24 Special Election will be held on the dates and times listed below at the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave., Bellingham.  Meeting dates, times, and/or locations are subject to change; please see our website or call (360) 778-5102 for updated information.  Relay calls are accepted.

March 27     2:00 pm     Logic & Accuracy Test of the Ballot Counting Equipment

April 4 –      8:30 am –     Processing of Ballots
May 3         4:30 pm

April 30       9:00 am     Canvassing Board Meeting/Review Challenged Ballots
