[ARCHIVED] Auditor Seeks Committee Against City of Bellingham Low-Income Housing Levy

The Auditor’s Office is looking for individuals to serve on a committee to write a statement against a proposed low-income housing levy submitted by the City of Bellingham that will be on the November 6 General Election ballot.  The statement against the proposed levy will appear in the Whatcom County Local Voters’ Pamphlet.  The City has appointed a “For” committee who will submit a statement in favor of the proposition.  They have not been able to identify an “Against” Committee.

The Auditor believes it is in the voters’ best interest to have both sides represented.  Persons interested in participating should contact County Auditor Debbie Adelstein at (360) 778-5105 as soon as possible.  A statement against must be submitted by August 13.

For additional information contact: County Auditor Debbie Adelstein at (360) 778-5105 or Chief Deputy Auditor Diana Bradrick at (360) 778-5130.
