Repair Update for Birch Bay's Deer Trail Road

Public Works is acquiring property access agreements to areas needed for Deer Trail landslide repairs. This legal process is necessary before construction can start. We still hope to do this work in fall 2021, once all legal agreements are in place.

Deer Trail Shoulder Work Happening Soon

Whatcom County Public Works will make improvements to the shoulder of the single passable lane of Deer Trail that will clean up mud and add gravel to make driving in this area easier. Crews must locate any underground utilities before the work can start.
