The Lummi Island Ferry, the Whatcom Chief, is scheduled to return to service on Tuesday, Sept 24, 2019 at approx. 3:00 pm. This scheduled return to service date is contingent upon successful completion of the remaining shipyard repairs and sea trials.
Attached please find the parking map (first map) for the area adjacent to theGooseberry Point terminal.We would like to thank Lummi Commercial Company for their gracious offer toallow lsland residents to utilize this area for dry dock.
We anticipate the first departure with the contracted passenger-only ferry to be approximately 4:00 p.m. from Lummi Island on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

The Whatcom Chief shall depart for dry dock midmorning on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The Whatcom Chief is due to return to its regular schedule midday on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.
A zipper merge is the way to go!
If you are transporting a trailer or driving a vehicle with a long overhang past the rear axles, we strongly suggest you travel aboard the Whatcom County ferry at a tide no lower than 4 feet.
