COVID-19 mobile testing in Lynden closed Friday afternoon due to wind forecast
Bellingham, WA - Due to gale-force wind projections, Whatcom Unified Command (WUC) has decided to close the afternoon session of drive-through testing operations for today, Friday Sept. 25. The testing scheduled for this afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sikh Temple, 176 East Pole Road in Lynden, is cancelled.
The National Weather Service is predicting high winds today, which would create unsafe conditions for mobile testing.
Those whose appointments are cancelled will be notified and encouraged to register for a testing appointment via www.testdirectly.com/whatcom for Saturday, September 26 or another time.
At this time, Whatcom Unified Command is planning to hold COVID-19 testing tomorrow, Saturday, September 26 in Bellingham at Civic Field, 1355 Civic Field Way, as scheduled.
Those who have been notified to quarantine or isolate pending completion of COVID testing are requested to continue proper quarantine or isolation protocols until completion of a COVID test and receipt of negative testing results.
For any changes to the testing schedule monitor www.whatcomcounty.us/covidtesting or the Whatcom County Health Department Facebook page.
