Water – It’s Everybody’s Business. From our snowy mountains to our marine shores, water has never been more important in Whatcom County. Join the Whatcom Watersheds Information Network and celebrate Whatcom Water Week September 11-19, 2021.
Water Week offers free, family-friendly events that celebrate the importance of water to our community and opportunities to have fun, learn, and get involved. Water Week has something for everybody! Visit

Events this year include the annual Water Week photo contest, which is already up and running with photos showcasing the importance of water in our community. The Run with the Chums 5K is back. There are tours, salmon sightings, storytimes, work parties, and beach cleanups. Events are outdoors, virtual, or self-guided to keep everyone safe.
