Water – It’s Everybody’s Business.  From our snowy mountains to our marine shores, water has never been more important in Whatcom County.  Join the Whatcom Watersheds Information Network and celebrate Whatcom Water Week September 11-19, 2021.
 
Water Week offers free, family-friendly events that celebrate the importance of water to our community and opportunities to have fun, learn, and get involved.  Water Week has something for everybody!  Visit www.whatcomwaterweeks.org for more information and a calendar of events with details.
 
Events this year include the annual Water Week photo contest, which is already up and running with photos showcasing the importance of water in our community.  The Run with the Chums 5K is back.  There are tours, salmon sightings, storytimes, work parties, and beach cleanups.  Events are outdoors, virtual, or self-guided to keep everyone safe.
 
Whatcom Water Week is organized by the Whatcom Watersheds Information Network (WWIN).  WWIN’s mission is to protect and restore our local waters and watersheds by supporting and enhancing information exchange, education, public involvement and engagement, and collaboration.  Learn more about WWIN at www.whatcomwin.org.
