Council Presentation on Justice Project Needs Assessment Report, February 7th
The final Justice Project Needs Assessment Report will be presented to the Whatcom County Council on February 7, 2023 during the Council Committee of the Whole meeting (see AB2023-106). The Justice Project Planning Team will present on the following:
- Process to develop the Needs Assessment Report
- Feedback from community engagement efforts
- Vision, Values, and Goals
- Needs and Recommendations for systems, services, and facilities
- Next steps towards creating an Implementation Plan
The County Council will consider a resolution of acceptance for the Justice Project Needs Assessment Report at their February 21st meeting.
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for the Justice Project voted to approve the final Justice Project Needs Assessment Report at their meeting on Thursday, January 26, 2023. This concludes over a year of great work and dedication from SAC members, in collaboration with the Incarceration Prevention & Reduction Task Force, and with significant input from the general public and priority audiences.
