Due to hazardous road conditions brought on by our recent snow storms and freezing conditions, we are cancelling tonight’s February 9th Planning Commission meeting at the PDS Northwest Annex offices. The meeting will be rescheduled for February 23rd. The County Executive declared a state of emergency yesterday and even though forecasts are for warming temperatures today and tonight, road conditions in the county remain very hazardous, including the roads leading to the Northwest Annex. There are significant amounts of snow and ice remaining on local roads that could also produce localized flooding in some areas by tonight. The Sherriff’s Office, Division of Emergency Management, recommends people continue to stay off the roads. See below for the latest advisory.
