What about my other benefits (dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability)?
The County will continue its regular contributions to your coverage for any months in which you are in paid status for the sufficient number of hours, as specified in your collective bargaining agreement or the Unrepresented Resolution, and for employees on an unpaid military leave of thirty days or less.

If you are in unpaid status, you may continue coverage as follows:

1) dental and vision insurance through COBRA;

2) life insurance coverage by converting to an individual policy;

3) long-term disability insurance coverage, if applicable, via billing from the County’s Finance division.
